
José M. De Miguel
José M. De Miguel is finishing a BSc in Mathematics and Computer Science at the Technical University of Madrid, where he ranks among the university’s top 5% students. In September 2025, he will begin an MRes in Artificial Intelligence. Alongside his studies, he works as an undergraduate research assistant in the Computational Intelligence Group, designing incremental learning methods with Bayesian networks and exploring causal discovery. He also completed a software‑development internship at Fossil Ion Technology, where he built tools that automate quality checks for bioanalytical instruments.
Beyond coding and research, he founded the university’s first mathematics club and guided visitors at the campus computer museum. His achievements have been recognised with two national awards: the Excellence Scholarship from the Community of Madrid (top 1 % of students) and the highly competitive Bank Santander Scholarship, granted to just 900 undergraduates across Spain.
